Training that Changes How Communities Respond

Responding to Addiction

Addiction is already showing up in your workplace, your classrooms, and your community.
The question is—does your team know how to respond?
Too often, the answer is no.

Responding to Addiction is a 3-hour, evidence-based training that gives individuals and organizations the tools to respond with clarity, compassion, and confidence. Delivered by Hope Movement Coalition in partnership with the Addiction Policy Forum, this training helps replace stigma with understanding and hesitation with action.

What is "Stigma"?

What This Training Does

Responding to Addiction is designed to equip individuals and organizations with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a real difference:

  • Helps people understand substance use disorder

  • Teaches how to recognize and respond in real situations

  • Builds confidence in difficult conversations

  • Reduces stigma and improves outcomes

Who It's For

Responding to Addiction is designed to meet a wide range of organizations and communities where they are:

  • Communities and organizations

  • Workplaces and leadership teams

  • Law enforcement and justice system personnel

  • Faith communities

Why It Matters

Addiction is already present in our workplaces, classrooms, and communities—yet most people are never given the tools to respond. Without proper training, uncertainty and stigma cause people to step back when others need them most. Responding to Addiction changes that, equipping individuals and organizations with the clarity, compassion, and confidence to step in and make a difference.

Bring This Training to Your Organization
